I started Space in 2018. It was the first Moodle theme I released, and the left sidebar has been part of it from the beginning. Move between a course, the calendar, or a profile, and the navigation stays in the same place beside the page.
In 2026 I moved Space onto the shared RoseaThemes Core. That brought in the Front Page Builder, Menu Builder, and the rest of the newer tools, without changing the navigation model that defines Space.
Space now shares its core with Alpha and XY. Same builders underneath. Different navigation. Space keeps the sidebar on the left.
The sidebar stays on the left.
Leave the dashboard for a course, the calendar, or a profile, and the menu is still beside the page. Space has used this layout since 2018.
Interface
Dashboard, courses, enrollment, profile, and login keep the same Space screens. The sidebar stays on the left.

Built on the RoseaThemes core
In 2026 I moved Space onto the same Bootstrap 5 core as Alpha and XY. The admin tools are shared between them, but the interface is not. Space keeps its persistent sidebar and visual direction while using the same builders, settings, and maintenance tools underneath.

Rosea plugins included with Space
Regular, Commercial, Extended, and Ultra licenses purchased directly from RoseaThemes include three additional blocks styled to fit Space.
These plugins are included with Regular, Commercial, Extended, and Ultra licenses, but not Solo. They are supplied with purchases made through Lemon Squeezy or directly by invoice from RoseaThemes. MoodleMarket packages contain the Space theme only.

Alpha and XY
Space belongs with these two. They share the 2026 core. You pick this one when the sidebar should stay on the left.
WCAG
Space adds skip links, keyboard-operable controls, focus styles, and ARIA wiring in templates controlled by the theme. Moodle Core, plugins, course content, and custom brand colors still require separate testing.
